I'm Reza Baram

Product manager who builds. I've spent 10+ years shipping products in semiconductor and blockchain: leading cross-functional teams, defining strategy, and writing code. Now I help businesses get custom tools and products built, fast.

The short version

I'm a product manager with a PhD in Physics and a career that spans academic research, semiconductor tooling, and blockchain protocol development. I've led teams at ASML and Input Output Global (the company behind Cardano), shipping everything from lithography analysis tools to layer-2 scaling protocols used by hundreds of operators.

What makes me different from most PMs: I code. I've built production systems in Python, C++, and Rust. When I say I handle the full product lifecycle, I mean it: from user research to deployment.

I also have deep expertise in AI technologies: from large language models and retrieval-augmented generation to agentic workflows and AI-powered automation. This isn't just a buzzword on my website. I understand how these systems work at a technical level, which means I can identify where AI adds value to your business and where it's just hype.

I use AI as my development multiplier. The same way a skilled architect uses CAD software to design buildings faster, I use AI coding tools, automated testing, and intelligent workflows to deliver production-grade software at a pace that would normally require a full team. This is how one person builds a complete product in 4–6 weeks: not by cutting corners, but by using the best development tools available today.

Career highlights

2022 — 2026

Product Manager

Input Output Global (IOG) — Remote

Led the Scaling group for Cardano blockchain. Product owner of Hydra (layer-2 state channels) and Mithril (data validation protocol deployed on mainnet with 250+ Stake Pool Operators representing 25% of Cardano's total active stake). Managed cross-functional teams of researchers, cryptography engineers, and developers.

2017 — 2022

Product Owner — Lithography Software

ASML — Eindhoven, Netherlands

Product management and technical leadership in the semiconductor industry. Worked on tooling and data products for the world's most advanced lithography systems. Certified PSPO II and trained at Carnegie Mellon in product management.

2012 — 2017

Lead Engineer

ASML — Eindhoven, Netherlands

Led engineering on data-intensive lithography software, the foundation for a later move into product ownership. Deep hands-on work in C++ and Python on systems used to build the world's most advanced chips.

2005 — 2012

Research Scientist

ETH Zürich & University of Lisbon

Post-doctoral research in computational physics: simulation of particle systems and multi-scale flows. Published scientific papers and built simulation tools. This is where the engineering discipline and analytical thinking come from.
